BRITTO HOUSE (1647-1693):
Red symbolizes sacrifice. St. John de Britto was martyred at Oriyur (Madhurai) where his blood coloured the sands red, standing on a testimony to his sacrifice.
Values imparted by St.John de Britto:
- Humility and Patience.
- Selfless Zeal.
- Genuine love for the poor.
GONZAGA HOUSE (1568-1591):
St. Aloysius Gonzaga was noble not only by birth but also by his deeds. A shining example through his extraordinary work. Yellow symbolizes the luster of gold- the nobility for which he stood.
Values imparted by St. Aloysius Gonzaga:
- To be tough yet gentle and courteous.
- To be determined to achieve one’s goals with courage, confidence and dedication.
CLAVER HOUSE (1580-1654):
St. Peter Claver worked for the black slaves thus called the slave of slaves. Hence, Blue signifies service.
Values imparted by St. Peter Claver:
- Respect for mankind.
- To love, care and share.
- Honesty and Truthfulness.
BERCHMANS HOUSE (1599-1621):
The colour green is a celebration of the youthfulness of St. John Berchmans who in his prime- at the age of 22- dedicated his life to the service of God and believed in doing ordinary things in an extraordinary way.
Values imparted by St. John Berchmans:
- To do every task cheerfully.
- Selfless service.
- Being Submissive to the will of God.
